Real stories of hope, transformation, and community support
"I was born and raised in a humble community in Kasese District. Growing up, I experienced firsthand the struggles that many children still face today — lack of school fees, long distances to school, hunger, and the constant fear of dropping out of education."
"There were times when attending school meant completing household chores first, walking long distances barefoot, and sharing limited learning materials. Yet, despite these challenges, I learned an important lesson: when children are supported with love, dignity, and opportunity, their lives can change forever."
— Muadhi Abubakar, Founder & Executive Director

Stories from children, families, and supporters whose lives have been touched by Allah's mercy through ULFA Orphanage Centre
"Alhamdulillah, ULFA Orphanage Centre became my family when I lost my parents. I used to walk barefoot to school, often hungry and afraid I would have to drop out. Now I have hope again. I want to become a doctor, In Shaa Allah, so I can help others."
"When I see these children learning, eating well, and smiling — SubhanAllah, it fills my heart. I know what they went through because I went through the same. Teaching here is my way of giving back what Allah blessed me with."
"I remember the fear of going to sleep hungry, not knowing if tomorrow would be better. ULFA Orphanage Centre gave me more than food and shelter — they gave me dignity and love. May Allah bless everyone who supports this work."
"From thousands of miles away, I feel connected to these children. Every update reminds me that sadaqah is not just charity — it's investing in a child's future. These are future leaders, future parents, future contributors to society."
"The farming program taught me that charity alone is not enough — we must learn to sustain ourselves. Now I can grow food and help feed the younger children. This is real empowerment. JazakAllah khair to all who make this possible."
"In our community, we believe no child should be forgotten. ULFA Orphanage Centre embodies this. They don't just feed children — they protect them, educate them, and give them hope. Wallahi, this is a blessing for Kasese."
